Family Doctors

The VMS continues to provide a vital service to the public through its online publication of the "Doctors Taking New Patients" list. As the number of General Practitioners decreases in Victoria, it is essential that the public has access to those doctors who are willing to accept new clients.

Below is an up-to-date list of physicians in the Greater Victoria and surrounding areas who are accepting new patients for their family practices.

To filter the listings to display your area only, find your "Location" in one of the doctor listings, and click on it. To view the contact information for a doctor, please click on their name.

Family Physicians in South Vancouver Island
Want to Hear From You

The Victoria Division of Family Practice (VDFP) and South Island Division of Family Practice (SIDFP) represent family physicians in South Vancouver Island, B.C. Our members work together to improve patient access to local primary care, increase local physicians’ influence on health care delivery and policy, and provide professional support for physicians.

Currently, we are working on a project called A GP for Me, which aims to improve our health care system by:

  • helping people who want a family doctor to get one, and
  • helping people who have a family doctor to strengthen their relationship with them.

This survey is one of the tools we are using to learn more about your health care needs and experiences. Please take 10 minutes to share your experiences with us.
